In case you haven’t realized it, people,
Bongbong Marcos’ protest against Leni Robredo Is still in a TRIPLE-DELAY
status. And unless the pace starts picking up, the RISKS of Bongbong BEING
CHEATED grow bigger and bigger by the day.
Almost TWO MONTHS after Bongbong had paid the
down payment for the recount of votes covered by his protest, and almost ONE
YEAR after he had filed it, NOTHING has been done to FAST-TRACK the process.
Except for the Supreme Court, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal
(PET), rulings allowing the protest to proceed and for Biongbong and Leni to
make initial payments for their suits.
First delay: Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
Among others, there has been NO ORDER from the PET to START COLLECTING ALL the
ballots in the 30 provinces nationwide covered by Bongbong’s protest. Not even
a conference to discuss how it will be done and how soon can it be started.
Neither has the Comelec been ordered by the PET to start decrypting election data
from secured digital (SD) cards.
Second delay: The ballots being questioned by
Bongbong are part of his pieces of evidence. But retrieval of the ballots will
take weeks or months. So until these are
retrieved, evaluation of their authenticity and relevance as proof CANNOT
START.
Third delay: The evaluation and arguments by
both sides on the results will also most likely take months. God knows how long all these will take, before
Bongbong’s protest is finally resolved. Meanwhile, Bongbong and us ordinary
mortals HAVE NO ASSURANCE UP TO NOW THAT CHEATERS ARE NOT, OR HAVE NOT BEEN,
TAMPERING with any of Bongbong’s pieces of proof , or anything that can help
prove he indeed had been robbed of victory in the vice-presidential polls.
Keep your eyes wide open, people. 30
