A story on the website gmanews.tv says presidential
assistant for rehabilitation Panfilo Lacson has denied a newspaper report saying
his copy of the Napoles list of alleged ‘pork barrel’ scam participants has
been sanitized or cleaned of several names.
Then I sincerely hope he has convincing answers
to these questions, in the interest of TRUTH and PUBLIC WELFARE:
WHAT’S KEEPING HIM form disclosing the contents
of his copy of the Napoles list, partial as it is, to the public? IS THERE A
LAW or administrative order which prohibits him from doing so?
The WIDESPREAD FEARS of De Lima sanitizing the
list is now undeniable. But in a story
on GMA News' “24 Oras” Friday evening, Lacson said of her: “And knowing her, I
don't think she will sanitize the list, kasi kredibilidad niya 'yan eh.”
HOW LONG has he known De Lima, PERSONALLY and
PROFESSIONALLY? HOW DEEP?
What makes him 100 percent sure that De Lima
won’t ‘clean’ her copy of the Napoles list? Apart from her verbal assurance to
the public, has she given him any other, particular assurance? If yes, what
makes that assurance convincing enough for him?
In the same “24 Oras” story, Lacson said he is
willing to turn over his copy of the list, and the USB for it, to De Lima. But
as we all know, Lacson had WARNED De Lima SEVERAL TIMES not to sanitize the
list.
That means he had also FEARED the possibility of
the list being sanitized.
So what made him say Friday that knowing De Lima,
he doesn’t think she would ‘cleanse’ the list? WHY THE SUDDEN CHANGE OF HEART
towards the Justice secretary?
Lacson also said in the “24 Oras” story of De
Lima and his willingness to turn over his list and the USB: “Tutal siya naman
talaga yung dapat na may hawak niyan eh.”
From a professional point of view, that’s
correct.
But WHY DIDN’T HE DO SO IMMEDIATELY if he had
thought of that? Why did he have to warn De Lima in the first place?
Finally, has Lacson MEMORIZED the names on his
list, especially if he indeed turns it over with the USB to De Lima? HE IS THE
ONLY one who would have the personality to question the truthfulness of
whatever names and claims will be made by De Lima about the list. Remember,
Napoles’ lawyer had confirmed the authenticity of Lacson’s list.
If De Lima’s version of the list turns out to be
QUESTIONABLE, even through common sense or logic, does Lacson have ANY OTHER
BASIS to dispute it?
If none, what would his statement or reaction be?
