When she paid her P8 million down payment this
morning at the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) for her counter-protest
against Bongbong Marcos, Leni Robredo again reiterated that she ran for
vice-president to prevent the Marcoses’ return to power.
So, Leni ran for HERSELF and her AMBITIONS, and
not to serve the people. With her OWN WORDs, Leni now shows that all her
campaign vows to ease the plight of the poor and help give the people a better
life were ALL LIES AND DECEPTIONS. That all along, she was waging a campaign
for vengeance and vested interest for herself and her principals, and NOT for a
brighter tomorrow for the Filipino people.
Leni is FULLY AWARE (and SHAME ON HER if she’s
not) that strictly speaking, the vice-president is POWERLESS. Except for Office
of the Vice-President staffers, he or she has NO POWER over anyone else in
government. The vice-president CANNOT ORDER ANYONE in government to do anything
unless he or she is authorized by the President. So it’s nothing less than
IDIOTIC AND MANIPULATIVE for Leni to say that had Bongbong won, it would have
been the return of the Marcoses to power. Simply because THERE’S NO POWER TO
STOP. And since Leni would most likely not admit to stupidity, then she’s LYING
through her teeth.
Now it’s clear why in her nearly a year since
assuming the vice-presidency, and in her short stint as Housing and Urban
Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chair, Leni NEVER HAD, AND HAS NOT HAD,
any pro-people accomplishment to show. 30
