QUESTIONABLE MAMASAPANO CLAIMS–PART 2

Almost a week after the Mamasapano massacre, it has not yet been determined who gave the final order for the PNP-SAF commandoes to carry on with their ill-fated mission last Saturday night. PNoy himself has not admitted giving the order. But think about this, boys and girls:

In a story in inquirer.net, Napenas said his men began calling for reinforcements at 6 a.m. Sunday, prompting him to coordinate not just with the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) but also with the government peace panel and the MILF leadership. The nearest Army units from the scene of the encounter were the Mechanized Brigade in Shariff Aguak town, the 45th Infantry Battalion in WHICH WAS ALSO IN MAMASAPANO and the 601st Infantry Brigade in Awang town. But no one arrived.  Now, consider these, people:

Except for an initial statement from the 6th Infantry Division that lack of information prevented its immediate rescue of the SAF commandoes. But as I had pointed out in my preceding status, the Division did not say if it exerted any effort to determine the exact location of the encounter scene. Neither has the Division denied reports that as it turned out, its headquarters was just a kilometer away from the scene. Other than the Division statement, no one else from the Army or the DND, especially Defense Sec. Voltaire Gazmin, has said anything about the Mamasapano carnage. So unless Gazmin issues an official clarification or denial, why were there no reinforcements from the Army? Apart from Gazmin, the ONLY OTHER PERSON who can order reinforcements  is PNOY HIMSELF as AFP Commander-in-Chief.

Napenas said after the 6.a.m call by his men for reinforcements, coordination was also made with the government peace panel and the leadership of the MILF. This has been CONSISTENTLY REPORTED in media, along with supposed instructions by PNoy to Presidential Peace Adviser Teresita Deles to call her MILF counterparts to stop the fighting, But in a story in abs-cbnnews.com Malacanang and Deles’ office denied PNoy’s supposed call. So WHY ISN’T DELES ISSUING THE DENIAL HERSELF? More importantly, WHERE WAS SHE AND WHAT WAS SHE DOING from 6 a.m. until the Mamasapano encounter stopped some 7 or 8 hours later?
