In
a story in inquirer.net, Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief negotiator
Mohagher Iqbal denied that they had been coddling international terrorists
Zulkifli bin Hir, alias Marwan, and Abdul Basit Usman who were the targets of
the SAF 44 commandoes in Mamasapano town in Maguindanao last Sunday. Then WHY
did MILF fighters fire upon the SAF 44 who were on their way out after killing
Marwan? The SAF 44 were ALL IN UNIFORM and therefore readily recognizable as
policemen. Even if the Marwan operation was not coordinated with the MILF, the
Front’s fighters could have just accosted the commandoes and asked what were
they doing there. THEY DID NOT HAVE TO SHOOT AND WIPE OUT THE SAF 44. Reports
that the SAF 44 fired first at the MILF men are likewise RIDICULOUS. The SAF 44
were OUT IN THE OPEN AND IN UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY. It would have been insanity
on their part to start a firefight and RISK ANNIHILATION if they can avoid it.
WALANG
Linggo? MAY MAKAKAPAGPATUNAY ba sa anumang sasabihin niya?
There
have been consistent media reports that the ‘whistle-blower on Purisima’s
supposed role in the bloody mission, relieved SAF head Chief Supt. Getulio
Napenas, is one of his KNOWN TRUSTED ALLIES. Purisima HAS NOT denied this. SO
WHY would Napenas DESTROY PURISIMA with a lie?
SAF
officer-in-charge Chief Supt. Noli Talino admitted that the 55th SAF Company
began calling for reinforcements at about 7 a.m. He said they sent
reinforcements using different approaches but the attackers were too many for
the rescuers to penetrate the scene of the encounter. But Talino did not
specify details. So unless he clarifies the following points, the SINCERITY TO
SAVE THE EVENTUALLY DOOMED SAF 44 would be VERY, VERY DOUBTFUL: How many reinforcements
and how much or what kind of fighting equipment did they send? How many, more
or less, were the attackers? It would be OUTRAGEOUS for anyone to say that the
SAF44 radioman did not give an estimate. If the supposed reinforcements were
too few for the attackers, WHY were the SAF’s HELICOPTER GUNSHIPS NOT USED? If
SAF officials will say it was not allowed, BY WHOM? Media reports said the
headquarters of the Philippine Army’s 6th Infantry Division was more
or less ONLY A KILOMETER AWAY from the battle scene. Did SAF headquarters
contact, or try to contact, the Division for help? If yes, who made the
distress call and what was the response? Other media reports quoted the Division as
claiming that they did not have enough information, like exact location, of the
encounter so they could not respond immediately. How true is this as far as the
SAF s concerned? And assuming that this is true, did the Division exert any
effort to determine the encounter scene, like sending out patrols? If
yes, what was the result? If no, why not?
I
will be writing Part 2 right after I post this blog. 30
