Whether he admits it or not, PNoy has just wiped out
whatever credibility he has left.
And unless he can PRESENT PROOF of his alibi, PNoy has just proven
that he is NOTHING LESS than a STINKING LIAR AND HYPOCRITE.
With his admission that he had talked to not just one but
four senator-judges in the impeachment trial of then Chief Justice Renato
Corona, PNoy DIRECTLY CONTRADICTED his
oft-repeated vow that he never meddled in the proceedings.
PNoy’s supporters will surely counter that there’s nothing
wrong if the President talks t a senator.
For the act of talking itself, yes.
But if the purpose of the chat is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what
PNoy had repeatedly pledged, that is what’s SHAMELESSLY WRONG.
Even if PNoy’s alibi of just trying to counter a supposed
pressure on the senator-judges to acquit Corona
is true, THAT IS STILL PART OF THE TRIAL.
Adding a huge dark cloud of SUSPICION to his alibi is his
having talked to the four senators IN SECRET.
Unless PNoy will concede that he has one BIG BUNCH OF IDIOTS
AND INCOMPETENTS for propaganda/ media advisers, it would have been a golden opportunity for him
to prove his HONESTY AND FAIRNESS by immediately revealing the supposed
pressure and what he’s doing about it./
By holding talks with the four senators in secret, PNoy
exuded an aura of ILLEGALITY OR IMMORALITY.
For the simple reason that if he had nothing to hide or to fear, PNoy would
have talked to the four senators IN THE OPEN.
Or informed the public about it.
Strictly speaking, PNoy SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE ONE to talk
to the four senators about the supposed pressure to clear Corona .
Simply because officially, HE’S NOT A MEMBER of the Senate
as an impeachment court. MORALLY, LEGALLY, and ethically, PNoy had NO RIGHT to
talk to any senator judge about anything happening in the trial.
Considering his publicly know desire to oust Corona .
If the supposed pressure indeed happened, PNoy should have
been PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIL ENOUGH to report it to the then presiding judge and
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.
Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but neither did PNoy say he
will not interfere only if he doesn’t feel like it
For the record, I’m not working for any senator. Anybody can
verify this anytime, anywhere.
But let’s set one last thing straight:
Whatever was Sen. Bong Revilla’s intention (s) in exposing his secret meeting with PNoy and
what transpired, or so he says, it would
be a MAJOR, MAJOR ERROR by anyone to
simply dismiss his speech as cheap ‘pa-pogi’ or diversionary tactic.
Revilla alleged a MALICIOUS, IMMORAL and TOTAL DISREGARD OF
LEGAL PROCEDURE by PNoy in pursuit of his PERSONAL LUST for Corona ’s ouster.
I’m not a lawyer but I will dare claim that there is no law automatically
exempting the President of the country from a probe or scrutiny, officially or
unofficially, of any accusation by anyone.
Even by his political foes.
What the President is immune from is a suit. Anybody correct
me if I’m wrong. 30
.
