Don’t
let Sen. Loren Legarda MISLEAD you, boys and girls, with her ‘demolition job’
alibi for the questions being raised by the public about her $700,000 New York condo.
The
issue is NOT about her being supposedly Number 1 in surveys for senatorial
candidates – NOT THE ACCURACY, NOT the perks of being the supposed top choice
of the people, NO NOTHING.
The
ISSUES are WHERE did she get the money to buy the condo and the CONTRADICTION
in her claim of part-ownership as against registration papers showing that she
was the SOLE OWNER of the luxury property.
NO
SENATORIAL BET in his or her RIGHT MIND would waste time and money on dirty
tricks just to dislodge Legarda from the Number 1 slot in the surveys as she
repeatedly laments like a broken CD.
The
number 1 slot WILL NOT DECIDE the fate of her fellow senatorial bets in any way
n the elections.
Don’t
forget, guys, 12 senatorial hopefuls will win, and NOT JUST ONE.
And
for those who don’t know, being the number one senator after the votes are
counted IS NOT A GUARANTEE that Legarda will be Senate President or any other
top dog of the body.
Sen.
Tito Sotto was number one when he won for the first time as senator. But he
NEVER BECAME Senate President.
So
somebody had better tell Legarda to STOP TRYING TO FOOL THE PEOPLE with her
repeated claim of a demolition job. HINDI MO MALOLOKO ang taumbayan, Loren,
What
Legarda should explain instead is:
Why
did she claim that the condo was owned by three others apart from her, when
documents obtained by abs-cbnnews showed that she was the SOLE OWNER?
Where
did she get the money to buy the condo, which was worth some P28 million at the time of purchase and
paid for in cash?
First,
A senator only earns P75,000 a month.
Second:
It is public knowledge that Legarda came from a financially-averaged family
from Malabon in Metro Manila. Reports say her father was only a humble
insurance agent.
Third,
she may have been a popular broadcast journalist before from ABS-CBN but NEVER
WAS IT KNOWN that Legarda was paid millions or tens of millions monthly for her
job.
Fourth:
Unlike Cynthia Villar who comes from a publicly-known rich family in Las Pinas
and has been a successful real estate developer before she entered politics,
Legarda was NEVER a rich businesswoman or anything like it until she ran for
senator for the first time.
Fifth:
I heard of reports that according to
Legarda, she had bought the condo during her marriage to former Batangas
Gov. Tony Leviste.
Then
why was it SOLELY UNDER HER NAME and not the two of them?
Ask
Legarda for the answers to these questions, and her documentary proof, before
you even consider re-electing her.
If
she’s as clean as she says she is, then clarifying everything in detail should
not be problem for her. 30
