NOTHING LESS THAN PURE CONCERN AND GENEROSITY!

says Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (GMA) has announced that employees of the
House of Representatives will each get P35,000 worth of grocery allowance. And
take note, people, GMA is NOT CLAIMING CREDIT for the surprise gift.
GMA told House employees that last month, “with
the hard work of Accounts Chairman Congresswoman Yedda Romualdez, you received
a grocery allowance of P5,000. This month, with the even harder work of Congresswoman
Romualdez, I have been able to authorize the release of P35,000."
GMA added that she had been informed that a
lot of House employees applied for loans during August and September. She also cited
the employees for their extra effort during the transition of the House
leadership. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong: A former
media asset of mine told me that the P35,000 is one of, if not the biggest,
grocery allowances ever granted to House employees.
I don’t see anything that needs further
explanation. Mabuhay, Madam Speaker GMA and the House leadership.
To House employees: Ang suwerte naman ninyo!
