SOMETHING’S COOKING with
the anti pork barrel rally on Monday.
Two photos are fast
circulating now in the Internet. One is the poster which conveys the rally’s
purpose. The other is a supposed campaign poster of PNoy.
The STRIKING AND
IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE SIMILARITIES are the closed fist and the shade of blue
on it and the rays of the Sun behind it.
Offhand, TWO VERY
ALARMING SCENARIOS:
First: This lends
credence to spreading talk that Monday’s rally is a PUBLIC RELATIONS GIMMICK of
PNoy’s government.
Despite PNoy’s
declaration that it’s time to abolish the pork barrel, the rally will give him
an image of PUBLIC APPROVAL of his action, and EVERYTHING ELSE that will follow
it.
Including ABSOLUTE
CONTROL of pork barrel funds in WHATEVER FORM OR SYSTEM.
PNoy declared earlier
today that senators and congressmen can still request projects for their
constituencies. But funding will go through the budgetary process.
Now, PNoy can INFLUENCE,
IF NOT DICTATE, how the funds will be released and distributed.
That means he will have
EVERY SENATOR AND CONGRESSMAN AT HIS MERCY, especially those from the
Opposition. KUNG HINDI KA NIYA KAKAMPI, HUWAG KANG UMASA ng pondo
Once he has every
senator and congressman in his pockets, every piece of legislation he wants
will have NO PROBLEM in both the Senate and the House.
Including measures to
EXTEND HIS TERM/.
Second: If the supposed
campaign poster of PNoy is a fake, that implies TWO THINGS IN ONE:
DESTROY THE MORAL CREDIBILITY
of the rally and put the blame on PNoy, to help keep the pork barrel funds as
long as possible, and WHATEVER CRIMINAL ACTS related to it.
