3 UGLY TRUTHS BEHIND FOILED AMALILIO RETURN!

The foiled repatriation of suspected P12-B swindler Manuel Amalilio from Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia showed THREE UGLY TRUTHS about PNoy’s government.
.
First, PNoy enjoys VERY, VERY LITTLE RESPECT, if any, from the Malaysian Government.

Amalilio is the alleged brains behind one of the biggest scams in the history of the Philippines. PNoy himself vowed to the victims of the scam that they will get justice. But Malaysian authorities DID NOT GIVE A DAMN and kept Amalilio.

As if telling PNoy, and the rest of us Filipinos, ‘so what if you want him?”

Even if PNoy practically moved Heaven and Earth in announcing to the whole world the signing of a framework agreement on peace talks between his government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which was FULLY BEING SUPPORTED by Malaysia.

Even though the agreement was NOTHING MORE than just a pact on how the peace talks would be conducted.

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents who had fetched Amalilio had all the required documents to bring him home. I’m sure the sympathies of all of us are with the scam victims.

But Malaysia IGNORED our boys from the NBI, the travel documents they had and in effect those who lost their fortune to the scam.

Third -- Look at the INCOMPETNCE of PNoy’s boys:

The Department of Foreign affairs, the Department of Justice, the NBI   and most of all Malacanang were still CLUELESS as I was writing this blog on why Malaysian authorities refused to yield Amalilio.

This can only mean one thing:

Officials concerned DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH FORESIGHT, if there’s any at all, to have considered this possibility after Amalilio was reported arrested.

Or they were simply NOT SMART ENOUGH.

Common sense dictates that when the issue is as big as Amalilio, one must consider ANY AND ALL POSSIBILITIES in handling and execution of the task required.

Otherwise, he or she IS NOT COMPETENT for the job.

JUDGE PNOY'S DAVOS SPEECH YOURSELVES, GUYS!

Here are some key points in the speech of PNoy in an anti-corruption forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Judge for yourselves, guys.
PNOY said he became President after almost a decade of absentee leadership, obviously referring to his predecessor Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA).
In fairness to GMA, let me just cite one proof which BELIES this:
GMA was the president when the world financial crisis strucxk (If I remember correctly, it was in 2007). But whether or not PNoy ADMITS IT, the Philippines was STABLE ENOUGH NOT TO GO INTO RECESSION unlike other big countries, including the US.
I’m not an economist but I’ll still dare say that you don’t achieve economic stability if you’re an absentee leader.
PNoy said roughly ten percent of the total population looked for greener pastures abroad during GMA’s term. He had better have a mountain of DOCUMENTARY and VALIDATED proof of this.
For the simple reason that millions of Filipinos have been facing tough times and leaving for abroad to work since the presidency of his mother Cory.
I’m sure that we have all not forgotten, among others, that it was then when we experienced 10 to 12-hour BROWNOUTS, the WORST TO DATE in our history,
It was also during Cory’s term that the price of galunggong, until then one of the CHEAPEST varieties of fish, rose from a just a few pesos to more than P50 per kilo.
So to even insinuate that 10 percent  of the Filipino people left for jobs in other countries during GMA’s presidency is not only GROSSLY UNFAIR but a MALICIOUS and PATHETIC DISTORTION of facts.
PNoy said now, whenever an overseas worker comes back, the common question is not anymore, “How did you manage to get out,” but rather, “When are you coming home for good?”
But he DID NOT CITE ANY BASIS. No names, places, dates or sources of information. In other words, SAYS WHO?
Pnoy said his government has poured funds into irrigation, arterial roads, genuine certified seeds, research into higher-yielding varieties, and other technologies.
Again, NO DETAILS.
Not even the exact location of one irrigation system or arterial road, no specific volume and kind of seeds and no name of the one who supposedly certified these, no names of the supposed researchers into higher-yielding varieties of rice, no location of the research, no specific amount of the supposed funds and no proof that the money was indeed released and had been received by the beneficiaries.
PNoy boasted of the continued gains in the stock market, the supposed growth in the gross domestic product and the alleged two consecutive ten-place jumps in the World Economic Forum’s annual competitiveness rankings index.
Two simple questions:
Can Pnoy or any of his boys RIGHTFULLY CLAIM that these economic achievements were due to their OWN program or ideas, and not from those they inherited from GMA’s presidency?
Can they cite even one original economic brainchild of their own since they came into power?
Pnoy said he has ignited a virtuous cycle wherein crimes do not go unpunished. Three points:
The numbers game JUETENG is still ILLEGAL. But not once has PNoy ordered an honest-to-goodness crackdown on it. Not even one jueteng lord has been investigated or arrested.
The killing of a Dutch priest who is a known critic of the Aquino-Cojuangco owned Hacienda Luisita months ago REEMAINS UNSOLVED.
Nothing has been heard of again about the disappearance of some 200 container vans of highly taxable goods. Earlier media reports had said a person very close to PNoy is allegedly involved in the issue.
As I’ve said in the beginning of this piece, this time you be the judge, guys.

TO TEST CAYETANO'S SINCERITY...

First, it’s an audit of how Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile disburses Senate funds. Now, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano wants a parallel audit of Senate funds as well.

So here’s one simple test if he’s truly for transparency or is just on another publicity stunt.

Let’s ask Cayetano to open the FINANCIAL RECORDS of his office, NOW, for auditors from the private sector. Even though it’s Enrile, and not him who’s in the proverbial ‘eye of the storm.’

Or even if nobody is calling for an audit of his office’s books in particular.

Cayetano receives his share of Senate funds. The funds come from our taxes. Therefore, we have the right to know if he has been spending the money WISELY and LEGALLY.

We should find out, and see proof, if Cayetano has been spending his Senate allocations for the greater good and not just for himself.

We have the right to know if Cayetano has accomplished anything like infrastructure projects with his funds. Or if he has been funding any pro-poor program or any other similar endeavor.

Unless Cayetano can show a law which exempts senators from an audit at any given time, he is as morally accountable to the people as any other senator.

If Cayetano refuses to kick off his purported quest for transparency with Senate monies, then everything he says is just for media mileage.

I’m sure we all remember that when Cayetano ran for senator, his media gimmick was a supposed expose of a multi-million account owned by former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo in a bank in Germany.

He REPEATEDLY alleged this in numerous press releases and TV interviews. But he NEVER PRODUCED even a single piece of physical evidence.

When Mr. Arroyo suggested that they go together to the bank for an on-the-spot verification complete with media coverage, Cayetano REFUSED TO GO and gave all sorts of reasons.

The bank eventually issued a statement DENYING ALL of Cayetano’s allegations. Now, it’s obviously the same strategy all over again.

Come to think of it, what has Cayetano done anyway as a senator? 30

MALACANANG, HOUSE SHOULD BE AUDITIED, TOO!

If  the Senate will be audited on the use of its funds, then the same thing should be done to Malacanang and the House of Representatives.

For a truly fair and square accounting of how our taxes are being spent by both senators and congressmen and most of all, PNoy and his boys in the Palace.

They all use taxpayers’ money, OUR MONEY, for their expenditures and disbursements.

And even if I’m not a politician or a lawyer, I will dare say that there’s no law which provides that only the branch of government which is in a controversy shall be accountable to the people for their taxes.

PNoy and every senator and congressman are ALL ACCOUNTABLE to the people. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Remember, guys: Malacanang, the Senate and the House all have BILLIONS OF PESOS in various budgets.

But except for infrastructure projects or programs which they occasionally feed to media for publicity, the people PRACTICALLY KNOW NOTHING of how and for what are these three co-equal branches spending our taxes.

We don’t have any proof either that their disbursements are LEGAL.

But IT’S OUR RIGHT TO KNOW. It’s our HARD-EARNED TAXES which are being spent in the Senate, House and Malacanang.

To supposedly clamor solely for an audit of Senate funds would be a TRAGIC DEFEAT for all of us in our fight for TOTAL TRANSPARENCY. More importantly, it will be a FREE LESSON to corrupt government personnel on what to expect in an audit and how to fix their shenanigans before auditors appear at their offices.

As an old saying goes: KUNG WALANG ITINATAGO, WALANG DAPAT ITAGO!

Whoever objects to an audit has something which we must not know of or see as far their concerned.  Write down the name, and those of the candidates he or she supports, and bring the list with you when you vote in the May elections.

That person or his or her \candidates are then ones whom you should not entrust with your votes.

Not just in May but IN EVERY ELECTION for the REST OF YOUJR LIVES!

NO MAJOR ANTI-CORRUPTION GAIN BY PNOY!

An inquirer.net story several days ago said PNoy is expected to enumerate in Switzerland next week the supposed major successes of his anti-corruption drive, like the prosecution and detention of his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) and the impeachment and removal of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

My question: WHERE IS THE SUCCESS?

When you say success, your allegations have been PROVEN BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT in accordance with the law.

But even PNoy himself CANNOT DENY that NOTHING of the accusations against GMA has been proven yet in court. NOT ONE and anybody correct me if I’m wrong, NOT A SINGLE PIECE of indisputable proof to date.

Corona was removed for allegedly not declaring all his monies in his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

But up to now, NO ONE among PNoy’s people has proven that Corona’s wealth is dirty, or had come from UNLAWFUL activities or sources.

So WHERE IS THE CORRUPTION?

I’m not saying that GMA and Corona are innocent. Unless the court itself declares so, I will never say the accusations against them are lies.

But we live in a democratic country.

And in a democratic form of government, ONLY THE COURT has the LEGAL AND MORAL AUTHORITY to declare if a person is guilty or not, or corrupt or not.

NOT PNOY OR ANYONE ELSE in government. Or the numerous PRESS RELEASES which echo accusations they hurl against their government’s foes and critics.

Regardless of whether or not it’s proven by fact and physical evidence..

If PNoy’s word or those of his mouthpieces will be the gauge of a person’s guilt or innocence, then we’re no longer in a democracy. We’re in a DICTATORSHIP.

To both pro and anti-PNoys: Would you preer dictatorship than democracy? 30

CAYETANO CASTS DOUBT ON OWN CREDIBILITY!

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano damaged his reputation more than that of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile in their confrontation yesterday at the Senate.

Cayetano alleged that Enrile’s chief of staff, lawyer Gigi Reyes, acted like a senator and attended, and spoke, at their caucuses. Worse, he added that it’s actually Reyes and Enrile who ran the Senate.

First, it was Enrile, NOT REYES, WHO DISBURSED the now controversial Christmas bonus to the senators. Second, even if Reyes is acting like a senator. that has NOTHNG TO DO with the Christmas bonus.

So why drag the lady into the picture?

Third, Cayetano DID NOT SPECIFY how Reyes is allegedly running the Senate with Enrile.  Neither did he PRESENT PROOF of Reyes’ supposed intervention and of any wrongdoing by the two in managing the Senate.

Fourth, in obvious desperation of having something bad to say against Enrile, Cayetano even dragged former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) and her lawyer-husband Mike into his attack.

Cayetano asked Enrile if he was mad at him because of the Senate President’s closeness to the former First Couple, whom he had often criticized.

I say desperate because there has been no known or proven monumental favor which Enrile got from GMA during her presidency, which is enough for the Senate President to get back at Cayetano soley for his verbal assaults on her.

More importantly, GMA IS NO LONGER IN POWER. She CANNOT NFLUENCE Enrile in any way.

So even if the Senate President is indeed close, or even super close, to GMA, there’s no reason for him to risk his reputation by stooping down to the lowly allegation of Cayetano.

I’m not saying that Cayetano is lying, or that Enrile is clean.

But think about this, boys and girls: Cayetano dropped what he thought were bombs against Enrile. But for not having even one physical proof of anything to trigger an explosion, the bombs turned out to be duds.

Cayetano has just cast a serious doubt on his CREDIBILITY.

If Cayetano knows what’s good for him, he had better have one INDISPUTABLE and DAMNING proof of anything he intends to allege before he even thinks of opening is mouth.

As to other senators and all those who want Enrile’s head for the senators’ Christmas bonuses, FILE WHATEVER CASE you can NOW!.

Kasuhan na kung kakasuhan, WALA NANG MARAMING DALDAL. WALANG MANGYAYARI SA PURO SALITA! 30

WOULD ANY SENATOR HAVE COMPLAINED IF...

Much as I hate it, I can’t help but ask this question on the raging controversy over Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile’s supposed Christmas gift to the other senators.

KUNG PAREHO-PAREHO ang nakuhang halaga ng lahat ng senador, MAY MAGREREKLAMO KAYA (If all the senators had received the same amount, would anybody have complained)?

Again, I’m not trying to defend Enrile. If a probe by any agency is warranted, by all means go ahead.

But think about these, people:

The ones who are complaining are the ones who received amounts MUCH SMALLER than the rest.

The monies in question are supposed to be Christmas gifts,

But I don’t recall anyone among the complainants exposing and questioning its legality and morality, on whatever ground. until after Christmas Day.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.

Otherwise, anybody should have raised hell the very moment he or she learned that the money was forthcoming. They should NOT HAVE ACCEPTED IT right from the start.

Surely, all the senators were notified one way or another of the money before they got it. And even if they were totally surprised, they definitely saw the details of the disbursement in the documentary attachments like vouchers.

When you believe in something, it SHOULD NOT BE SUBJECTIVE. NO ifs or buts, Otherwise, be a million and one percent  sure of your conviction first before you even say a word.

To SPARE other people from the time and effort you will waste instead of devoting it to them,

One thing for sure boys and girls, we deserve SOMETHING BETTER.30

SENATE BETS SHOULD ANSWER THIS, NOW!

There’s something VERY IMPORTANT we have to ask this early from senatorial candidates in the May elections.

WHO’S PAYING for their commercials, especially in television, and their sorties and WHO OWNS THE MONEY? Do they have PROOF that the money is CLEAN, and not public funds DIVERTED to their ads?

Keep in mind, people, that public funds are OUR FUNDS.  These are our HARD-EARNED MONIES which we used to pay for, among others:

The NUMEROUS TAXES charged from us, mandatory contributions to the SSS, GSIS and Pag-IBIG Fund,  and fees for certifications and other services when we transact with various government offices.

These monies are supposed to be for OUR WELFARE ALONE, for our needs as a people, and not for the PERSONAL AGENDA OR BENEFIT of any candidate, even if he or she is a bet of PNoy and his Liberal Party (LP).

So ask the candidates, personally if possible or through his or her various contact points like websites and e-mails. Ask for SPECIFIC DETAILS  and PROOF of whatever his or her claims may be.

If there’s NOTHING TO HIDE, then there should be NO PROBLEM for the candidate to be TRANSPARENT in responding to your queries.

Pero Kung sasabihin ng kandidato na CONFIDENTIAL ang mga sagot sa mga tanong ninyo, KABAHAN NA KAYO.  A thousand and one percent,  something IMMORAL or ILLEGAL, or both, is going on.

From the candidate, ask the TV stations.

Who paid for the TV commercials of the candidates and how much did it cost?  Request for SPECIFIC DETAILS and documentary proof.  I don’t know the prevailing rates, guys, but I am a million percent sure that TV ads remain the MOST EXPENSIVE in the media industry.

Three examples:

PNoy’s nephew and LP senatorial bet Bam Aquino has been having a lot of TV commercials about a movement which has his name for the acronym.

Question: Is he that rich that he can afford TV ads?

If he will say it’s from contributions, who’s the source and why would anybody pour huge amounts for him, considering that his only claim to fame is being PNoy’s relative?

A personal friend of mine informed me that she has come across a TV ad by the DSWD on the conditional cash Transfer (CCT) program which had Sen. Loren Legarda in the end.

What has Legarda got to do with the CCT? It’s NOT HER PROGRAM.

The CCT is a program of the national government with the DSWD as lead implementing agency.

PNoy brought along LP senatorial bets with him when he went to Cebu days ago for the Sinulog.  Who paid for their plane fare and other expenses they incurred? Is the disbursement legitimate?

It’s OUR MONEY which is at stake, people. For our sake, don’t forget this. 30

NO MORE SANE REASON TO TRUST TRILLANES!

There’s no more SANE REASON to trust Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.

Shortly after Trillanes declared to media that there is a plan to oust Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile before the chamber adjourns next month, 11 out of 16 senators present REJECTED a bid by Enrile himself to vacate his position.

Initial reports said only three senators, INCLUDING TRILLANES HIMSELF, voted for the ouster of Enrile.

This despite Trillanes’ claim that he and his purported allies only need the votes of the four Liberal Party senators -- Franklin Drilon, Francis Pangilinan, Ralph Recto, and Teofisto Guingona III -- to kick Enrile out from the Senate presidency.

So unless Trillanes can name his purported allies – that should be NINE  senators since 13 votes were needed to oust Enrile and he said they only needed the  four LP votes -- whom he had claimed were ready for a change in the Senate leadership, it could only mean one thing:

Trillanes had LIED. If that’s the case, there’s no MORAL JUSTIFICATION to continue trusting him as a senator.

I’m NOT trying to defend Enrile. I will never say that he’s innocent of accusations of unethical action against him in connection with the monies he had released to 22 senators last December.

I just want to remind everyone that a senator should be a man of honor, honesty and integrity. These are among the top qualifications we should look for when we decide who to retain and who to remove from the Senate when we vote in the May elections.

And not who is the most talkative in media, who has the most number of press releases or who has the sweetest smile and who is the prettiest or handsomest

To those who will say that this latest, EMPTY boast of Trillanes should not be a major gauge in measuring his trustworthiness, consider these:

This is the SECOND TIME, as far as I can recall, that Trillanes had attacked Enrile and failed to prove his claims, the first being that the Senate President had helped the family of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the passage of a Senate bill favorable to the former Chief Executive’s congressman-son Dato.

Do we have to wait for a third, fourth or fifth time, even if the subject isn’t Enrile?

As to the ethics complaint filed by a non-government agency against Enrile and 22 other senators, by all means let the probe begin. 30

BRILLIANT PROPAGANDA MOVE BY GWEN!

Whether or not her political enemies and critics admit it, suspended Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia executed a BRILLIANT PROPAGANDA MOVE by joining the Sinulog festivities despite the risk of a lockout.

In a practically EFFORTLESS manner, Gwen drove home the message that she is INNOCENT and is therefore NOT AFRAID of the government or of anyone else.

Especially PNoy who, just days ago, had warned her on media against forcing him to have her bodily ejected form her office at the provincial capitol building.

Peacefully but devastatingly, Gwen told her constituents, and the Filipino people as a whole, that she had done them no wrong and has NOTHING TO FEAR or be ASHAMED of on the allegations against her which led to her suspension.

Unlike PNoy, or acting Cebu Gov. Agnes Magpale, who had resorted to pressure and scare tactics just to force Gwen out .

If you will recall, Magpale claimed weeks ago that according to a radio survey, more Cebuanos are in favor of cutting the water and power supply to Gwen’s office to pressure her to leave.

But when asked for details of the alleged survey, Magpale could not give any. So you know what would be one good gimmick to help clear the issues and for the people to see who’s lying and who’s not?

A public confrontation between Gwen and Pnoy, or his representative, and Magpale strictly on the issues in the governor’s suspension, with live tri-media (print, radio and TV) coverage

I just don’t know if this is legally possible, since Gen has a pending petition with the Court of Appeals for a temporary restraining order (TRO). But if it is, we’ll get the chance to observe reactions, facial expressions and other indicators of a liar.

If both Gwen and the government are 100 percent convinced of the legality of their actions, and can prove it with physical evidence (not just self-serving press releases), then there’s no reason for anyone to reject a confrontation.

ANG UMAYAW, WALA O MAHINA ANG EBIDENSIYA. 30

WHAT ANTI-CORRUPTION GAINS WOULD PNOY TALK ABOUT!

SENATE XMAS GIFT BROUHAHA CAN BE USEFUL!

Believe it or not, we can derive something good out of the controversial P30 million Christmas bonus released by Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile to 22 senators.

We can use it as a gauge to determine who is really PRO-PEOPLE and PRO-POOR among the senators.

How? Let’s find out who among them, if any, SHARED some of his or her bonus to the less fortunate, in whatever way they could – to whom, when how and what for.

The Commission on Audit said Senate expenditures are exempted from auditi.

Keep in mind, people, among others, that: close to a million of Typhoon ‘Pablo’s’ victims still need help, and charity houses like orphanages are constantly in need of financial support.

Kaya kung sinuman ang nakaalala sa mga mahihirap at nangangailangan, kahit kaunti, iyun ang karapatdapat na manatiling senador pagkattapos ng eleksiyon sa Mayo, o sa halalan sa 2016.

Whoever ignored the poor, the sick and the needy no longer deserve our vote. And before anyone says it’s too shallow, consider this:

Senators are supposed to be our representatives in the Senate.

We voted for them to protect and pursue our welfare and major concerns, for a better life. Like any other public servant, we should be their priority, not themselves.

But if a senator can ignore the needy with something extra and unexpected like what Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile gave them, we can never be sure he or she won’t do it again when bigger interests are involved.

Tayo lugi, hindi iyung senador.  Bakit natin kailangang irisko pa yun?
Think about it, people.
